Gardening

I live in an apartment in Ephraim, UT. It's in the middle of no where, but I found a good deal :) My apartment comes with a yard--yes, be jealous. In April I discussed the possibility of a garden with my landlord. I dumbfounded her, but she said I could plant anything, anywhere!

Scott and I headed to Wal-Mart to buy seeds and a watering can. It has been hard work spading the rough soil, mixing in some nutri-multch, planting seeds, and watering them everyday, but it has been so rewarding!!
Look at this garden:

Lettuce is in the back and radishes are in the front. They look bigger than this in real person :)

Sugar Snap Peas :) I have carrots and zucchini that are growing, but there isn't a picture :)

The first radish!! Many have come since this one, but it's so rewarding growing your own food! Yay for gardening!

Mrs. Ammons

Scott and I have been trying to be really creative with date ideas. Last weekend we were both reminising about the time in high school when we both made homemade ice cream, so we figured it couldn't be that hard to make!

Mrs. Ammons. Oh, she was about the death of me in high school. She was my high school Chemistry teacher. I enrolled in regular chemistry just so I wouldn't have to take her class (she taught honors chemistry), and I was put in her only regular chemistry class. Ha...seriously? :) The last time I made homemade ice cream was in her class. It was the only happy memory I have from that class (even though we had a 4 page lab report to fill out with it :) ). Sadly, the homemade ice cream turned out a lot better when I was in that class...

Scott and I filled up the bags, and started shaking! The bags were freezing, but here is a picture:

we look a little rough in this picture, but eh...here we are!

Haha...this picture is my favorite. I'm marrying him. :)

Don't they look amazing? Want to know why? :) It is the chocolate bars, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream we coated it with! It was such a fun, adventurous date!

Memorial Day Weekend!

Last weekend was such a good weekend! Scott didn't have work or school on Monday, so for the first time, in a long time, we spent the day together. Actually, we spent the day with the entire Bagley clan, and we had a blast! By the time 7:00 PM came around we were all exhausted!

The first part of the day we played wiffle ball (british baseball). We played for about 3 hours (boys vs. girls). Wouldn't you be intimidated if you played us?

Too bad we didn't win... :)
After the game, we took like a four hour break to drink gatorade and learn how to breathe again! :)

After we took a break we spent the rest of the afternoon planting the Bagley garden! It was a great end to the day, and it was wonderful just to spend time together :)

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Oh, this is the best time of the year! Two words: Scandinavian Festival. My dad is full Danish, and so I am a half Danish! We found this festival three years ago in Ephraim, UT, and our lives haven't been the same since! They truly have the BEST food I have ever eaten in my whole life. We go back every year just for the food. Don't hate.

Scott got to go for the first time this year! He tasted of the goodness, and we are already trying to figure out a way to come next year :)

Homemade raspberry lemonades with real raspberries in them :)

Amy and I at the festival :)
