One Month :)

On July 26, 2010, Scott and I celebrated our one month wedding anniversary. I can hardly believe how fast time has flown!

We decided to get ice cream cones to celebrate, and we saw this rainbow along the way. Kind of cool, huh?

I love you, Scott. Here is to a lifetime of ice cream cones and rainbows! They will all be perfect with you.

24th of July

Well, the 24th of July sounds like a random day to most people, but people in the west go crazy over it!! It's know as Pioneer Day! The 24th of July is when the Mormon Pioneers arrived in the Salt Lake Valley. They had traveled for months, and when they arrived here, this was declared the place where they would be able to establish their lives in peace. In my opinion, that is worth celebrating. (Plus, who doesn't like setting off fireworks twice a year? :) )

Scott and I went to the antique car show in Fairview. Neither of us knows a lot about cars, but nonetheless, I was really impressed! My desired to own a vintage car went up 100% :)

Fairview also has two museums! There is a history of Fairview museum, and a museum of art and natural history.

This was in the history of Fairview museum. I don't know if we were supposed to take pictures, but no one stopped us :)

What the museum is famous for: This mammoth was found 13 miles from fairview! My dad told us that he remembered when it had been dug up, so it was in his lifetime! (Dad, that must mean it was done within the last 30 years, right? :) )

This is possibly my favorite picture of the day! We wanted to take pictures with some of the art, and this is the product of that.

Scott: Did you get everyone in it?

Lisa: (Graciously laughing) yes.

Scott: You didn't cut anyone's heads off, did you?

Lisa: (silence aka trying to figure out why my husband is laughing at himself.) Oh...

Modern art anyone? I think I might try to become a model.

We went to dinner that night at my cousin Barry's house in Fairview, and then we headed back to Mona for the city firework show! It was a definite must see :)

Ute Stampede

A couple weekends ago, Scott and I went with my parents, my Uncle Jim and Aunt Leslee, and all my cousins (their kids) to the Ute Stampede in Nephi. It was a blast! My Grandpa Charlie used to bring my dad there as a kid, and so as soon as we move back to Utah we started to go!

Bull ride! Scott had never been to a rodeo before, so along with this being a new experience, he loved the bull rides!


Scott and I right before it ended! We had so much fun. As soon as we walked out of the stands we were trying to figure out a way to come back next year! Thanks Mom and Dad, for the good time!

4th of July

My sisters are my superheros. They both trained and ran the 5K Turkey Trot on the 4th of July. I was invited to do it as well, but with all the wedding chaos, I really didn't have time to train and enjoy what I was doing :) Anyway, I was there to see them run through the finish line! Julie was first and Amy was a VERY close second!

It was great having Julie and Eden here for a couple of weeks around my wedding! I hadn't seen them since Amy and I went to Italy this last fall. Eden is growing up SO quickly!

Eden with her "cousin" (my cousin's daughter...what is that considered?), Sunni. I asked Eden if I could take a picture of her and she said, "Yes. One...Twos...Six, Cheese!" (Don't you love how they are holding hands?)

The best part about the 4th of July is spending time with our families. For breakfast we went to my Uncle Jim's house in Moroni!

Right after breakfast was the Moroni 4th of July Parade. We all set our camping chairs up by the side of the road--including Eden:

We spent the rest of the day with his side of the family: watching old home movies and eating popcorn. At night all of the cousins went back to the Bagley house to watch the Moroni fireworks! All the kids got glow sticks...including Scott and I!

I married this. Aren't I lucky? :)

Last Day!

The last day of our honeymoon we went to Kodachrome Basin, Escalante, and back to Bryce Canyon. Kodachrome Basin is super cool...I mean, can't you tell by the looks on our faces? :)

Kodachrome Basin National Park is a dirt road off a dirt road off a dirt road! The main attraction? Chimney Rock. Look at how huge it is!!

National Geographic Magazine came to see and photograph Chimney Rock in 1949. In honor (I guess honor is the right word...:)) of the new color kodak film they used to photograph Chimney Rock, they named the place Kodachrome Basin...cool, huh?

We went and drove around Escalante and saw the Grand Staircase...but we didn't take any pictures. You are just going to have to take my word for it :)

We went back to Bryce Canyon (because we had to pay $25 for a 7 day pass to get in...a little ridiculous, if you ask me :)). Here are a few shots to finish off the honeymoon!

Bryce Canyon

See how beautiful this is? It's Bryce Canyon! I know, it sparks a little jealousy in you all, right? Don't you wish you had seen this on your honeymoon? :)

Well, the name of this beauty we owe to this man:

Meet Ebenezer Bryce. He lived here six months and they decided to name it after him! I'm not quite sure if the beauty of the Canyon matches this fellow, but eh, he probably has a beautiful heart...or something :)

Before you go in to Bryce Canyon, there is a line of old western shops. Scott and I got ice cream and walked around the shops...



I know I have said this like 500 times, but I LOVE the red rock!

Who knew that Bryce Canyon had a museum?! I actually think it was for kids...but Scott and I had a lot of fun in it!

The whole time we were at Bryce, Scott wanted to see a bear. Every animal movement off to the side of the road, Scott would slow down the car and look. Well sad to say, this is the only bear he saw that day :)

Scott took an astronomy class this summer, and anything star related he secretly loves. He gets made fun of by his family and me for it, but we found this in the kids museum. It was kind of freaky. The Star Chamber was totally pitch black. We couldn't tell if anyone was in the chamber before us, so I slowly stuck my hand in there to find out...no one was:)

I laid on my back to take this one. Pretty, huh?

As soon as we decided on Tropic as our honeymoon spot, Scott started to research llama back rides. Gross. I am not an animal lover, and this did not sound like loads of fun :) This was as close as I would get to a llama back ride!
