Happy Halloween!

We had a pretty uneventful Halloween this year! Our ward didn't have a Halloween party, and as of 9:00 PM tonight we didn't have any trick-or-treaters. (Which means I will have to find some way to get rid of my Halloween candy...I'm sure I can figure out something :) )

We decided to dress Macey up in her costume Saturday and take some pictures. I think she makes a pretty cute lady bug!

Rice Cereal

At Macey's 4 month appointment, I told the doctor how interested Macey was in eating. I also told him that she eats every hour and a half. (She had started waking up more frequently at night because of it!) He said that he wasn't surprised. Macey is big for her age, so he was sure it was okay to start rice cereal. We were thrilled! She had a rough couple of days with shots, so we waited a couple of days to try it....now she is hooked!

Macey's first time:

Since the first time, Macey has learned what a spoon is, and mom has learned how to feed a baby :) Macey still loves rice cereal! She has been eating it for over 2 weeks now. We bumped her up to 2 bowls a day, and she couldn't be happier. I think if I let her, she would lick the bowl clean!

Little Pumpkin

We went out for another photoshoot today because we have an amazing photographer, a nice camera, and an adorable daughter :) We had a blast, saw a lot of fishermen at our spot today, plus Macey sure had a good time!

Rolling, Rolling, Rolling!

Macey Claire is a roller. We have been practicing for weeks! On October 14th, her 4 month birthday, she did it! I actually almost missed it :) This is the third time she did it!

4 Months!

Macey Claire Bagley...she needs to stop growing! She is getting to be so big. I can hardly believe that she is 4 months old! We went to the doctor this past week, and he even commented that she is big for her age.

Weight: 15 lbs. 8 oz. -- 86th percentile
Height: 27 inches -- 100th percentile

The doctor said that she was extremely alert for her age. He said that it was a good sign of development! But I could have told you that she was developing quickly...

-She smiles all the time.
-She still laughs at mom.
-She HATES being on her stomach. As soon as you lay her there, she promptly rolls over!
-She loves to stand up.
-She loves holding and chewing on everything you put in her hands.
-She officially has 2 teeth.
-She reacts to you when you say her name.
-She arches her back and wiggles back and forth until you pick her up off the floor.
-She loves spending time with dad (they are dancing in the kitchen in this picture!)

Family Pictures

Macey is growing so quickly, that we decided we needed new family pictures! Scott is a Visual Communication major at BYU-Idaho, which means he takes a lot of photography classes. He decided to brave the task of taking our family pictures, and I love them! (Oh, and I love him too :) ) All credit goes to Scott Bagley Photography!

Sick

Dear Macey,

I was the crazy, first time, over-protective mom. When you were tiny--I almost demanded that everyone wash their hands and use antibacterial gel before they could hold you (let alone touch you :) ). I was really good at protecting you.

Then 2 months rolled around...and I slacked off. We have been paying for it the last couple of weeks. We went down to Utah almost 2 weeks ago and came back with horrible colds. I have wracked my brain of where this cold came from, and that's my only conclusion--no hand washing or anti-bacterial gel.

Now, when I say horrible colds, I don't mean the runny nose/cough/sneezing. Don't get me wrong...we have those symptoms too, but there are other flu like symptoms. One night I shivered in bed with 5 blankets on me and a horrible fever. The next night you battled with it (and I was up all night while she did :) ). Unlike me, you can't have cold medicine, so we have only been able to use tylenol for your fevers. It's been horrible. (To say the least...)

I am sure all the seasoned moms are laughing at me, but it's my first time (give me a break)! I have just hate sitting back while you have been so sick. (And it's not easy being sick at the same time!)

Oh and did I mention you are teething really badly too? Your second tooth finally came through this week, though! Hopefully, that helped to take away some of the pain.

Through this whole ordeal, you are still such a happy baby. I love you so much! You laughed at me for the first time this week (but let's face it...I am a pretty funny person. We all knew it would happen sooner or later :) )!

You have become a snuggler. When you wake up about 3 times in the night (what happened to sleeping through the night?!), I feed you and put you back in your crib. As I carry you back to your room, you seem to cuddle up perfectly in to my neck. Every night I stand by your crib for a few minutes holding you and just enjoy being your mom.

You are perfect--sick or not. And I am so glad you are mine!
