The very first thing we did in December was go to Home Depot to pick up our Christmas Tree! The fresh Christmas trees are one of my favorite parts of Christmas!
We also went right to work with writing letters to Santa!

We dropped off our letters to Santa in the Santa Mailbox at the Greystone Church! Thanks, Lucy!
I thought it would be really funny to go to Dollar Tree, buy cheap elves, and stash them in creepy positions in Macey and Cooper's rooms!
Charlie crawled into my lap one afternoon and fell asleep. He doesn't do that too often, so I took a picture to remember it!
The first week of December we had Christmas Tree Lane in Richfield, and we got to go watch Harper dance! She did such a great job, and it was so fun to watch her all dressed up, dancing to "I Want a Hippopatomus for Christmas"!

Jemma was invited to a 5th grade girl Christmas party! Everyone brought a gift to exchange, and Jemma thought it was the greatest thing ever!
Scott and I did another holiday boutique! It was so much work, but it was so worth it! It was the perfect way to invite in Christmas spirit!
My dad made some wooden Christmas trees for my holiday boutique, and they were beautiful! They were the first things that completely sold out (besides the caramels)!

Our bishopric sent out a holiday card to every member of the ward, inviting them to our Christmas party! This was the picture used--Scott and his counselors, Brother Bascom and Brother Heath!
We went to Story Time at the library in Monroe! We read some stories and decorated Christmas Trees!
Pajama day at preschool!
Oh, you know, that one horrific afternoon, where it got too quiet....a squishmallow exploded it's fluff all over that place! I could hear the boys say "decorations! decorations! decorations!", and I turned around to see them "decorating" the Christmas tree with the fluff. (In case you are wondering, fluff was tricky to pull off prickly Christmas tree branches!)
Owen and Charlie fell asleep in such a peculiar way, and I had to document it. (My favorite part has to be that Charlie is wearing Lucy's high-heeled shoes with his Avenger costume!)
I snapped this picture at our ward Christmas party. It's still a little surreal seeing Scott up front, leading the party and sharing a spiritual message!
Our older kids were invited to be a part of the live nativity. Jemma was Mary, Cooper and Quinn were shepherds and Lucy was an angel!
We had a nativity practice the night before the party, and it warmed my mom-heart watching Jemma care for the baby doll. She rewrapped the swaddle and carefully took care of the "baby Jesus".
There is an older man in our neighborhood. He isn't a member of our church, but his wife is. They are both over 90 years old, and he is a master at folding $1 bills! At the ward party, he came with his wife and gave Scott the white shirt and tie and me the heart origami! I thought it was so thoughtful!
The twins had a big Christmas-field-trip-day for preschool! I was so excited to go with them, and I woke up SO sick! (Little did I know it was the beginning of a two month adventure of passing the flu onto ALL 10 people in my family...sequentially. It was a LONG, sick road!) Thankfully, Scott was able to find a sub for work, and he stayed home and had twin duty for the day! Honestly, I don't even remember that day, and I am pretty sure I slept through most of it...so thank goodness for Scott and substitutes!
Christmas band concert for both Macey and Cooper! (It was fun to see pictures of Cooper playing the trumpet...he has since switched over to playing the baritone!)
A week later, Harper was able to have her magical Christmas field trip day, and I was feeling well enough to be able to go with her! They made gingerbread houses before we got there, and I am pretty sure every kind of candy made it on to Harper's house! Most of that candy was consumed by Harper or siblings when they got home!
Quinn had activity days at the church, and they had so much fun with a scripture relay race!

Harper's last preschool day before Christmas break, they had a small program! She did such a good job, and she had so much fun singing with her friends!
Our next big performance in December was Lucy's! All 2nd graders, perform "The Polar Express" right before Christmas break. Lucy had been performing all the songs for us for weeks, so I knew she was ready! She did great! (She is sitting on the far right, 3rd row!)

Cooper and Macey had an ugly Christmas sweater dance/fun-night with the middle school! They were so excited to go celebrate with friends before Christmas break!
