Cooper is 4!

I have such good kids. They don't expect much, when it comes to getting new things, so when birthdays come around, it is so fun to surprise them! Cooper had an AMAZING birthday filled with a lot of gifts.

If you have had a conversation with Cooper about his birthday, he may have told you that he got a broken bike for his birthday. :) We got this bike for free, and Scott and I were going to fix it up for Cooper's birthday. After talking, we decided our "fix-it" Cooper would LOVE having a man project with his dad. I think his favorite gift was the bike--hands down--even if he tells every one that he got a broken bike for his birthday!

After opening presents, Dad ran to Andy's Market for a doughnut filled breakfast! :) The kids were oh, so happy for breakfast!

We surprised the kids with a trip up to Provo to see the movie Moana. We saw it when it was in Richfield Theatres, but the kids were constantly begging to watch You Tube videos of the songs. So we bought the soundtrack from iTunes, and we loaded the kids in the car. They were SO excited, and it was a hit with everyone!

All of our kids' birthdays are the day after holidays. Being Cooper's was after New Year's, and I was drained, this was his birthday cake for the year--Storm Trooper sheet cake!

New Year's Day!

New Year's Day was a Sunday, so we went to church! It was Cooper's first day of Sunbeams, and it was epic! I worried about how Macey would handle him in Primary, and how Jemma would handle him being gone from Nursery--no problems! In fact, Jemma danced into Nursery, and Cooper held Macey's hand and they walked into Primary together.

Cooper's birthday is January 2nd, so it was his birthday week. He came home with a T-shirt that says "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam", a bookmark, a CTR ring and a candy bar from the bishop. (I was a little nervous that the next week would be a letdown...every week can't be like this! But he loves everything about Primary!)

Nursery and New Years Eve exhausted poor Jemma! She came home from church, curled up on the couch with mom and fell asleep!

THE BOOK OF MORMON/New Year's Eve!

WE DID IT!!! We finished The Book of Mormon as a family--which is still incredible to me! With everything that has happened in 2016, we still stuck with it! We decided to have a big party with snack foods, board games and dancing. The older kids loved it! (Poor Quinn didn't even make it through dinner before needing bed time!)

The most beneficial thing about reading The Book of Mormon is now knowing that we can do it--again and again! We saw so much change with our kids, in only a year. We have already begun to read it again in 2017!

Christmas Day in Mona!

We got there in time for appetizers, Christmas dinner, and then the kids helped Grandpa put out luminaries!

The next day, Grandpa pulled the kids around on a sled behind the four wheeler! Macey was outside the longest, and she would have stayed outside longer, if we would have let her. Poor Jemma plays until her hands are frozen, and Cooper doesn't like being tossed into the snow. :) Cooper does like riding behind Grandpa on the Four Wheeler, though!

It was so good to go and spend time with Grandma and Grandpa!! The kids had so much fun and didn't want to leave!
