Wizard of Oz

South Sevier High School's musical this fall was "The Wizard of Oz", and it was awesome! I can't even begin to tell you how excited Macey was to see it! We watched the movie a couple nights before we went. In fact, the entire week before, Macey would ask if we were going to see "Racing Cars" (it took us a long time to figure out she was talking about "The Wizard of Oz"!).

Finally, the day arrived. Macey insisted on wearing her church clothes and having her hair done like a princess. They had cast little kids as the munchkins, and Macey went crazy over all the other kids! She was glued to the stage and her program the entire time!

Cooper, on the other hand, was less interested (and that's putting it lightly). We survived the first act. The second act was rough on our little family. The mic volume was really loud, and poor Jemma just wanted to sleep. She ended up falling asleep in my arms while sitting up and facing the stage. Cooper had to be taken out several times. Macey was such a good trooper. With each Cooper freak out, she would grab her program and follow one of us adults to the back of the auditorium, and she would watch from there.

We ended up leaving a few scenes before it really ended because everyone started to fall apart! It was 10:00 when we left, though...which is way past every one's bedtime!

In case anyone was wondering, Macey is still obsessed! She went around the next few days with a stuffed dog, now named "Toto". Everywhere we went--shopping, church, ward party, etc.--Macey would say, "To-to, where are you? Where are you to-to? Ah, man-t!", and she would pat her knees to call him. Which is cute...if you understand her obsession with "The Wizard of Oz" and her stuffed dog, named To-to. Otherwise...it's a little strange. :)

Random Bagley Goodness!

My kids are pretty entertaining. :) If we are lucky, I leave my camera on the kitchen counter, so it is near when anything happens. If we are even luckier, little hands won't find my camera and move it before I need it!

One day, Macey and Cooper built a snowman out of pillows, and they were pretty proud of their masterpiece!

My kids are all growing up too quickly. Especially Macey...and Cooper...and definitely Jemma. 

Jemma loves our Amazon Rain Forest! It has kept her entertained many-a-stressful times!

Whenever Scott is home, his lap or arms are always filled...all the kids love dad!

As Jemma is growing older, she can now grasp things with her hands! She loves her walker and bouncer...not because she can walk or bounce...but because of all the toys that don't move!

All my kids get to an age where you can't rock them to sleep anymore. Jemma acts like it is coming soon, but I am holding out hope that I have longer! Cooper is better than Macey ever was, but he is still an independent sleeper! (Every morning, without fail, he grabs his milk, blankie, and pillow, and he wants to "tuddle". Done! I am positive I look forward to it more than he does!) The other day, after a long, nap-free day, he wanted to "tuddle" with me after dinner, and he fell asleep in my arms!

My parents usually come down here to visit us, but I decided it was about time we got out of the house and visited them! They graciously picked up my 3 kids and I from Big O in Nephi (to get my tires rotated and oil checked) spent the day with me, and then they dropped me back off to pick up my van and head home. It was a fun day! My wonderful mother wanted to make sure I had food that I could eat for lunch. I haven't been able to eat wheat, so she made me chicken enchiladas with corn tortillas and homemade enchilada sauce (for lunch!) and my own cookies for dessert.

I'm sad I didn't get more pictures of that day, but I love the two that I got!

The Playoff Game!

Our South Sevier football team made it to the playoffs this year, and they tied for 3rd in State!! The second to last game we played was at our football stadium on a Saturday afternoon. It was super windy, but it was a lot of fun!

I packed a large family lunch, and we headed to the game. The kids loved sitting behind the student section and right next to the pep band!

The game was right during nap time for the two youngest. Cooper fell asleep in the car on the way home. (I should note that we live three minutes from the high school!) We tried everything to wake him up...he slept exactly like this for a LONG time! Scott was able to put Jemma right to sleep!

Ward Party/Macey's Moment

We were able to go to the Ward Party the night before Halloween. We had chili and breadsticks, the kids got to dress up, and there was a fashion show for all the kids. Macey was SO excited! They told the kids to have a trick prepared to do when they get on stage. Scott suggested things she could do while they stood in line. Macey kept saying, "I know what I'm going to do!" Scott coached Cooper into doing his Captain America moves.

Both Macey and Cooper went on stage at the same time. Cooper quietly said "Swoosh" and moved his shield back and forth. Then, Cooper just stared into the audience. Macey took everyone by storm, and she was all over the stage. I was laughing so hard, I couldn't gage anyone else's reactions. She is a little ball of energy! She was dancing, leaping, twirling, rolling, doing the splits, etc. She did it all in a 20 second time frame...while Cooper just stared in the corner.

I totally forgot my camera, and I was bummed I missed the moment. The Carter family captured it for us, though. It makes me laugh every time I look at it. I sure love that little girl! Go Macey!

Halloween!

We sure had a fun Halloween this year! For months, Macey had told me that she wanted to be Anna and Scott had told me that Cooper wanted to be an Avenger. Ha...Cooper really did, though! The best part about all our Halloween costumes is that we had everything for me to make their costumes. I had to go to Wal-Mart and buy a $3.00 pair of sweatpants and shirt for Captain America's costume!

Also, the day of Halloween, I decided to quickly sew Macey an Anna cape. Both our older kids had mild cases of hand, foot, mouth disease (although we didn't know it at the time), so we just went to see Grandparents. The kids couldn't have been happier!

Say hello to Princess Anna, Captain America, and our little Ladybug. (Also...say hello to my sanity...which has returned since costumes and Halloween have passed!)

This picture makes me laugh! This is the best picture we got of all three kids. The more kids we get, the harder it is to get a good group picture.

I'm still trying to figure out how we got so much candy, and we didn't go door to door! We are still working through all our candy! Everyone sure had a great night!

Jemma's Closet

Our house is one giant renovation, or so it seems! :) When we were done with carpet, Scott turned to me, and said he was done with home repairs for a while. I told him I agreed, but I really wanted to redo Jemma's closet before we paused for a while.

The first half of our home was built in 1971. Jemma's bedroom is part of the original house. Her walls are covered in wood paneling (which just got a fresh coat of paint!). When we moved in, one of the things I did was pull all the wallpaper off the walls from inside the closet. (Who puts wallpaper inside closets?!) I painted it really quickly with some left over paint we had.

Her shelving was poorly put in. In fact, this whole thing was held in by 5, 1 1/2 inch rusty nails. I'm glad I didn't pile too much stuff on the shelf!

Our lives were absolutely crazy the week of Halloween. My mom and dad came down to watch the kids' while Scott and I had a placement interview for Scott's job. (No worries, we have one every year, and we are staying put for now!) I asked if my parents thought I would be able to put in new shelves by myself...and my parents offered their services! Haha...I guess they doubted my abilities! But I am always welcome to help. (I sure need it, most of the time!)

The day/night before, I ripped out the shelving, patched walls, sanded, and repainted everything. (Can I mention the inventive way they used to hang shelves? They punched a hole through one wall to stick the pole through, and on the other wall, they nailed a 2 x 4 under the pole to hold it up. Thankfully, Scott had done a few wall patches in his day. So, he covered the giant hole up!)

The board used for the shelf was made from rough wood, which was splitting in half. See how rough cut it was?

After lunch and few hours of hard work, my dad had made this masterpiece. Everyday I look at it, I am so happy that I could cry! I love all the shelving, and it makes the closet look twice it's size! Thank you, Dad, for making it look so beautiful! (And yes, Jemma has more clothes than any other family member. Those are the perks of getting the 1st child's leftover clothing!)

Pumpkin Carving!

For Family Home Evening, right before Halloween, we carved pumpkins! We actually started carving when Scott came home from work because our kids are not night people! When bedtime nears, a little before 7, we get a little (READ: A lot) moodier than usual. I didn't want to have to deal with carving and moodiness! :)

I held Jemma, and Scott helped the kids carve. Macey and Cooper drew on their faces, and Scott carved it out for them. Cooper was not a fan of the inside of his pumpkin, but he had a sister who was more than willing to help him out!

Jemma is very active! For being 3 months old, she wants to be up, moving, and seeing everything that is going on. We decided to try out the walker, and it was a hit!

The kids' pumpkins were very creative, and they were very particular on how their pumpkins should look. They had a blast carving them this year!
