We have had such a sick fall season. It's so hard having 5 kids in school. That's 5+ classrooms full of other kids and germs. It's near impossible to keep on top of. I feel like we are just living in a never ending cycle of sickness. We just pass it on to each other--no matter how well I clean or make kids wash hands. We are in close proximity to each other. Sickness happens.
My four youngest are, essentially "pandemic kids". They have a really basic immune systems, because we tried to keep them safe from COVID, we inevitably kept them safe from everything else. Now we are playing catch up...and to be completely honest, it stinks. But...here we are!
In September, Lucy got hit with the strep stick, and Harper and the boys had ear infections. Antibiotics all around. Years ago, I would have told you I could never bring 4 kids under the age of 5 to the doctor by myself. I mean, it's not my favorite thing to do, but we have a great clinic in town (that knows all of us by name) and they are so good at working with us in groups. At this point, sleep was scarce, many kids were cranky, and I was so, so grateful for a solution!
Drive thru slushies from McDonalds while we wait for anitbiotics to be filled! (McDonalds for the win!)
