Daddy and Cooper Date
Cooper told Scott that for his date, he wanted to go to church (work) with Scott. They were also supposed to get donuts along the way. (Because, evidently, when Scott goes to work he gets donuts!) Cooper and Scott dressed alike and headed off. They were two happy boys that had a blast together! They ate donuts and then cleaned up Scott's classroom from this last year. Cooper's favorite thing to do was help take picture off the wall. He got a little to excited about it, though, and ripped poor Martin Harris in half!
Little Helper!
Jemma is sure a cute girl! She has her dad and I wrapped around her little fingers! She has started clapping, waving, and blowing kisses. Her favorite words are "All Done!", "Dada", "Night-Night" and when she is really sad, "Mama". She stands on her own and walks around furniture. Although, he favorite thing to do is bear crawl or four-legged crawl to get around. She is such a fun girl!

The Aquarium!
If you remember, I vowed to take a break from the Aquarium and the zoo last summer. Well, we decided that we would just take a trip to the zoo this year. We knew our kids would love it. We haven't seen the new renovations and they have put in a dinosaur exhibit this year. We wanted a quick day trip, so we planned a zoo trip. We had been checking weather for days, and we found a day that only had afternoon showers (and only a 40% chance). We took off early that morning, and...it rained the entire way up! When we were about 45 minutes away, we decided the zoo was not going to happen. We didn't want the day to be a bust, so we headed to the aquarium instead!
We went in to find that the prices had raised again this year. They had gone up $2, so for an adult it cost $18 per person, and Macey (who is it 3 years old) cost $13!! Scott and I had wide eyes, but we decided to do it anyway. I mean, you put 3 little kids in the car, get them excited about seeing animals, drive for 3 hours, and then don't deliver...it would have been a LONG ride home!
The kids loved it!! Although, we did decide (again) that we are done with the aquarium for a could years...we will see how long that vow lasts!
The first thing we saw were the starfish and stingray. Scott held both kids over the edge, so they were able to touch a stingray!
One of my favorite parts of the aquarium is the shark tank/tunnel. They swim all around you. Macey was a little terrified to go inside the tunnel, but she soon realized she wouldn't be eaten and all was well!

Next was the South America part of the aquarium! It was SO humid! We have been living in a dry climate for too long...I automatically started gagging when I walked in, it's so humid! Scott served his mission in Peru and he served in the Amazon Jungle for about half of it. He thinks they hit the climate in the aquarium pretty dead on!
This is my favorite part of the aquarium. Partly because I love the show "River Monsters" and have seen how dangerous all these fish are in the wild, and partly because I get to ask Scott if he has eaten any of these fish before (and the answer is yes...he had eaten about 6 of the different kind of fish in this tank)!
In the middle of watching the fish, Jemma reached up and just grabbed Scott's hand. She melted both of our hearts! Poor, tired girl!
We finished up by looking at some animals that live in Utah! (Minus the shamu replica!)
We left the aquarium and ate our picnic lunch in the car while rain poured around us! Poor little Jemma finally collapsed and took a nap.

The Chair Remodel
I have had this glider since I was in middle school! Santa brought it for me for Christmas one year. (In fact, I am pretty sure I asked Santa for a chair for my room, and he listened.) It has been so good to me, and it has traveled from North Carolina, to Mona, to Ephraim, to Rexburg, and now to Monroe! It has been a good chair to us. I have used it for a rocking chair for my kids.
A couple months ago I decided that it needed a face lift! I knew it needed new cushion covers, and I played around with the idea of painting it (although, I quickly decided it wasn't worth the work!). If I could find a good fabric to match, I thought I would be happy with it!
I asked my mom for a Wal-Mart gift card for my birthday, so I could buy material and zippers to cover the cushions. It was really inexpensive to do, and I love the outcome! (So does Cooper!)

Macey and Daddy Date!
We generally budget in daddy dates for all the kids, but May was a really busy month for us and they didn't happen. Macey has been begging for a date for weeks! Scott and I decided she needed one first. She loves "hot drinks", so Scott and I decided that would be the perfect date.
She and Scott went out for drinks, treats, and talking. She came home a chatter box, and she was SO happy! (All the sugar involved probably helped with that, too!)
When Scott and Macey got home, they put on their fairy wings and painted some pictures together. When Jemma woke up, Scott graciously shared his wings with Jemma. :)
