Grinchy Games!

Every year, that sneaky Grinch breaks into our house, steals the star off our Christmas tree and drives away our Christmas lamb--Lambuel! In order to get our things back, the kids had to complete 12 Grinch Games. They had to toss a ping pong ball into a muffin tin to figure out what number/task they had to complete!

#1--Take a Grinch face selfie!

#2--Sugar or Salt? Quinn got to complete this challenge!

#3--Smell garbage and say "yummy"!

#4--Drink cold beezelnut soup! Macey was really excited to complete this task...she may have sprayed beezlenut soup out of her mouth! (It was a combination of milk, caramel sauce, and cinnamon...so nothing too crazy!)

#5--Stuffed face challenge--stuff your face with popcorn and say "the Grinch".

#6--Polar Bear Challenge--Hold an ice cube for 30 seconds!

#7--Sing "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Santa smells, the Grinch is the best HOORAY!" (Cooper got to do this one!)

#8--Everyone suck on a peppermint stick for 45 seconds!

#9--Build a Grinchmas Tree out of boxes in the garage.

#10--Drink lemon juice!

#11--Go outside and yell "POO, POO to the Whos!" 3 times! Cooper did this one, too!

#12--Sing the Grinch song!

A Christmas Date

Scott and I escaped on a Saturday for a quick Christmas date! It had been such a crazy month, and I told Scott that I just wanted to get away, get some hot chocolate, and walk through the Christmas aisles at Walmart and Home Depot. It was a fun couple hours, and it helped me feel more "Christmas-y"!

All Lucy Wants for Christmas is her Two Front Teeth!

Lucy has some anxiety, so she is very hesitant to let Scott and I help pull out her teeth. (Who are we kidding?! Scott is the tooth puller! I will hold her hand!) That means that her teeth are always dangling in her mouth!

Because she didn't want us to pull it, we somehow convinced her to let us tie floss around her tooth and a door knob. The floss broke!!! It was so traumatic that she wouldn't let us go for round two.

About a week later, we decided to do something fun, and we suggested tying flossing to a nerf gun bullet and letting her pull the trigger. Well, YouTube lied. It totally didn't work either!!

Luckily, it fell out a couple days later!

Presents from Jesus

In the middle of a day in December, I heard a knock on the door, and I found a present for each of our kids on our front porch! Each gift had a gift tag that said the presents were from Jesus. Our kids were all so excited to open their gifts! We had a good talk beforehand about how good people are and we wanted our kids to remember this and remember that people are so good! We opened presents youngest to oldest!

Harper's 4th Birthday!

Harper turned 4 years old on December 20th! Harper is so loved! She has endless energy, and she is our forever cheerleader. Harper is ALWAYS in a good mood! Harper is sassy. She knows what she wants, and she is very capable of speaking louder to make sure her idea is heard! Harper is extremely loving. She has a strong attachment to her mom (which can sometimes be difficult). She a great helper--Harper is always willing to help at a moment's notice, and she is always quick to come to the aide of her brothers and sisters!

Doughnuts for breakfast! (With sprinkles, of course!)

One of the hardest things that Harper had to do was wait until every one got home from school to open her birthday presents!

Harper's birthday dinner choice was McDonalds!

Harper LOVES fruit and vegetables! I once talked to her doctor about how I could get her to eat her fruit and vegetables, but it was sometimes hard to get her to eat her meat or grains. He looked at me like I had lost my marbles! I don't think that's a complaint he had gotten pretty often!

When she asked for a birthday cake, all she wanted was strawberries...in December, those are hard to come by! Luckily, she has parents that love her, so we had fresh strawberry shortcake for her birthday!
