Macey is 6!!

I could go on and on in disbelief at my oldest turning 6 years old! Macey is such a sweet girl, and she is such a good helper to me. She can sense when things are wrong, and she immediately tries to help fix it. She is stubborn--oh boy, is she stubborn! She is beautiful 6 year old that has lost eight teeth!! She is about a head taller than most her age. She loves learning, reading and going to school--and I am convinced that waiting for 1st grade might be the hardest thing she has had to endure, yet! :)

Macey is a planner--she lives by schedules. She likes to know what is coming next in the day, and she lives for calendaring. For the past year, she has been planning this epic birthday party! If she sees something at Wal-Mart, reads about it in a book, sees it on TV--she wants that certain something at her party. The closer we got to her birthday, the more I realized that I had to start talking her down, or she would expect these great big things, and she might be disappointed! We seemed to do okay! :)

After a quick breakfast, we started our trek up to Provo! We bought Pass of all Passes at Christmas time, and we finally went to use them! We were going to Seven Peaks Water Park for the day. With the groupon we got, we figured we got our moneys worth with one trip...can't beat that!

This park was awesome! To be honest, we didn't really do the grown up side of things. With 4 kids under 6, Scott and I are man-on-man-on-man! We were constantly counting heads, but it really was a great place. There were kids areas and so many life guards on duty. I never really worried about our kids, and they had an absolute blast going down all the water slides and playing together!

We pushed through our regular nap times, and we swam and swam until the younger two had had enough. Scott and I sat on the edge with them for a little bit, and the older two played within eyes reach. We finally decided it was time to go...but we are going to go back!

Quinn couldn't get over the fact that his fingers looked swollen and different because of the water!

We searched for a park in our GPS, and we ended up at this park in Provo. You can tell Scott and I aren't very familiar with the area because we had no idea how to find a park! Thank goodness for our GPS!! We packed a picnic and ate our lunch under a random tree in a random park in Provo!

It was hot, and we decided the birthday girl needed a birthday treat! McDonalds has $.59 ice cream cones this summer, so everyone got a cone and then Macey had her choice of anything off the menu. Her choice?? A caramel sundae...who knew?! She loved every bit of it!!

Something miraculous happens when my children have sugar. They eat it and then, almost instantaneously, they collapse and go to sleep!

We thought we had planned things a little better than we did, but we cut things a little too closely. We decided to pick up a couple Little Ceasar's pizza for dinner. Macey didn't mind AT ALL!!

Mom tried to be a little creative with cake this year, and it wasn't too great! Haha...Macey didn't seem to mind, and she ate plenty of these ice cream cone cupcakes!

The End of T-ball

T-ball, for Macey, has quickly come to an end! The games lasted about 6 weeks, but that time went by quickly! It was SO much fun to watch Macey learn something new. And to be honest, Macey really improved and has athletic ability that we didn't know existed! Our next big venture will be soccer in the fall.

The best part of t-ball--watching all the girls run for the ball at the exact same time!

We usually get a great 1st base shot! :)
