We went on the most epic vacation. It was magical! We created memories for a lifetime! (It was a once in a lifetime trip!) We spent over a year planning and saving, and it didn't disappoint!
We went on a trip across the United States to Disney World! We took our first family airplane ride--10 people on an airplane was an adventure! We spent two days in Disney, and then we hopped on a Disney cruise boat for 4 days! We stopped at the Disney island, Lookout Cay, and we partied hard on the boat! It was a magical!
We went over Martin Luther King Day in January 2025! We had clear weather for weeks...and then we woke up to snow! Thankfully, our white van handled the 3 hour drive to the airport perfectly!
This may be one of my favorite pictures from our trip. Packing for 7 days for 10 people for Disneyworld and a cruise was NO JOKE!
We made it to the airport! We parked our van and then took the shuttle to our terminal!
One of the parts we were most nervous about on travel day was getting through security with 8 little people. Taking off 10 pairs of shoes, 10 jackets, 10 backpacks, all electronic devices out--all while a TSA agent is trying to push you along. Thankfully, security was uneventful, and we all ended up on the other side of security!
We made it to the gate, and mom took a long trek to get some cheap Jimmy John sandwiches! We ate before we hopped on the plane.
The kids even had some time and energy to ride the walking escalators right in front of the gate!
The kids were SO excited to board an airplane!! Cooper and Macey had flown on an airplane before, but this was the first time for everyone else! I reserved the back 2 rows by the toilets because of noise--just in case, and I knew that every kid was going to want to check out the bathroom. And yes, after a 4 hour flight, 5 out of my 8 kids used the bathroom!
We got to Orlando around dinner time, and then we road our Mears bus to the resort! At this point, the kids were DONE! We pulled up to the resort with a crying Owen and Charlie! but WE MADE IT!!
Our Nebraska cousins were waiting for us at the resort! We also had a grocery pick up waiting for us at the hotel, and we almost went immediately to our room to eat a late dinner with our groceries! The TVs in our rooms welcomed our family to Disney World and emotions were SO high! We were ready to hit the ground running in the morning! Thankfully, we slept really well! We were so grateful for an easy day of travel from snow to sunshine!
