The Bum Cream Incident

Macey got mad at Jemma for doing something, and she squirted Lucy's bum cream in her hair. It is like vaseline (because we have had to scrub that out of hair before)! We washed Jemma's hair many, many times, and it was still greasy! She had to wear it up in piggy tails for a few days until it was back to normal.

Mom and Macey had a long, long talk about talking about our feelings instead of reacting to our feelings, but poor Jemma still had to live with bum cream in her hair!

Macey's Notes

I found this note on our fridge right before Halloween (and Quinn was Buzz Lightyear) and when Quinn was just starting to potty train! Macey decided he needed a little pep talk!

Lucy Sits at the Big Table

You may have noticed that Lucy has had standing meals the past few posts. We finally were able to go to Wal-Mart, and we bought her a new booster seat to sit at our table! She has LOVED it! She has struggled with eating for so long, and it was exactly the step she needed. She feels like one of the older kids. She even jabbers when we have breaks in the conversation! She is growing up on us!

Our First Flat Tire

I am still not sure how we made it 9 years without a flat tire, but I'll take it! We hit something, somehow made it home, Scott put on our donut, and I took it to Big O to get fixed! We are experts now!

Lucy's 1st Sucker!

Trick-or-Treating!

I took on the task of making all the kids' costumes this year, and I was able to do all of them for under $13! (Thanks to my $1/yard fabric stash!)

Macey wanted to be a witch this year. I made a peasant dress with a sash! We got her super cool sequin hat from Target!

Cooper's was the hardest costume to take on! He wanted to be a pterodactyl--easier said that done! I bought a basic black shirt for a few dollars, added the belly and wings, and then I made the head out of one of Scott's baseball hats! The head was the most difficult part--I used stuffing and the broken end of fishing rod to get it just right!

Sofia the First! Her dress was made from a dress-up dress that I made for Macey years ago! I added embellishments, a poofy tulle skirt, and a Dollar Tree crown and wand!

Buzz Lightyear! Buzz had an outfit made by me, gloves (with a red laser light), and a box made by Scott (which Quinn refused to wear past our house)!

Cheetah Lucy! We had this costume from when Macey was little! 8 years ago, I bought this costume on a clearance for $3. Pretty girl! I couldn't just choose one picture!

Off we go!

Halloween Day!

Macey and Cooper got to dress up in their costumes for school, so we had to take some pictures! (Macey was a witch, and Cooper was a pterodactyl!)

Macey and Cooper had a Halloween down Main Street. It was cold, so we had to bundle up before we could go! (What cute kiddos I had to accompany me!)

(I see a pterodactyl!)

(And a witch!)

We came home to make sugar cookies!

The older two stayed at school and had fun! (Macey's teacher sent me some pictures!)

And one sleepy boy took a nap (while his little sister slept downstairs)!
