I call Cooper "trouble" at least five times a day. He is A LOT more active than Macey ever was, and he is very impulsive! If he wants to do something, he does it. I have to keep an eye on him at all times! Scott and I had our backs turned, and in seconds, Cooper had climbed the banana chair. It's a good thing we turned when we did, or he could have gotten hurt!

Monroe Power Picnic
Every fall, Monroe City Power holds a city picnic! They have a raffle where you could win free prizes (last year we won $20 off our electricity bill!). They serve you a free meal: hamburger or hot dog (with fixings), a bag of chips, a bag of cookies, and a drink. It was so much fun last year, we decided we had to do it again this year!
As eating came to a close, Macey took off for the playground. There were a lot of big kids on there, so I was nervous! Macey walked up there like she belonged! She walked up the stairs and went down the slide--several times! What a big girl!
Someone was sick of me taking pictures. I'm not sure if I'm ready for teenager Macey! :)

Macey doesn't hold still for long. She has SO much energy. We tried everything to get her to sit down and eat. Thankfully, she just walked around our picnic blanket, eating, and keeping busy. This was one way she kept busy. We found it on our way to the car! Funny girl.

Labor Day
Labor Day was a pretty low-key day! We just wanted to be with one another and enjoy one another! We ran a few errands in the morning, and for lunch, we walked to Bullies for burgers and ice cream!
Cooper makes me laugh. He keeps my on the edge of my seat...all the time! Sometimes, his spontaneity makes me practice patience! The pictures were taken one right after the other...
After eating, we walked home, Cooper napped, Macey and Dad played in the sprinkler, and I made peach freezer jam!

Peach Picking
We want to do something fun for Labor Day weekend. We heard that The Red Barn was having a peach picking weekend. We could go on a wagonride to the orchard, pick our own peaches, and then head back to The Red Barn for fresh peach shakes...yum! We were able to meet up with my parents and Amy. We had a blast!
We put gel in Cooper's hair for the first time...what a stud!
The boys, before getting on the wagon ride!
Macey LOVED the wagon! She kept saying "GO, GO, GO!". In between stops, Macey would get off, and always find flowers to pick...such the girl!
Macey learned a new word: "teach" (peach). She was really good at picking up "teaches" off the ground and putting them in my box. (I just had to make sure they were still good!) Scott got a captured a couple of pictures of Macey saying "teach!"
There were rows and rows of peach trees--even different kinds of peaches!
(Notice our large box of peaches that turned into Raspberry Peach freezer jam, Peach Freezer jam, bottled peach baby food, and lots and lots of fresh peaches! Not bad for only $15.00 a box. I think we averaged it out to be about $.50/pound!)
Christensen girls!

After peach picking, we went over an orchard, and went apple picking. There was a giant, homemade slide that Macey and I loved going down. Scott and Cooper got to enjoy the fun, too!
This was (almost) my favorite part of the day--a fresh peach shake! It was the perfect way to cool off after being in the sun all afternoon! Afterward, we went back to Grandpa and Grandma's house and collapsed! It was a fun day!
