Oh you guys, I was a great mom upstairs. Macey had this Earth Day/Recycle Project to work on from school. We had been saving all of our recyclable items, and Macey decided on her own that she wanted to create a ring toss game. (She is so much more creative than me! She came up with that idea on her own...my idea was totally lame!)
We had a crazy afternoon, so I decided I would have an art station set up as soon as she got off of the bus. We had paint, glue and glitter. I decided I didn't want Quinn and Jemma around that, so I sent them downstairs together to play in the toy room. Quinn and Jemma are a lethal combo, I knew that, but I figured I would be okay for 30 minutes.
And then I heard the patter of little feet, and Jemma telling me that Quinn was in the storage room and wouldn't come out. I ran downstairs and found this: The Sugar Incident of 2018. Come to find out, Jemma and Quinn had played in my giant canister of sugar, it went out into the hallway and then into the boys' room--where they dumped cups of sugar around the room, including Quinn's bed.
This is my vacuum canister after vacuuming up 3 piles in the boys' room. There were several more. This poor vacuum has been through so much the past 6 months.
So what did I do? Well, Jemma and Quinn got a swift talking to and a swift spanking. I loaded all the kids in the van, let Macey finish her project, took a couple pictures and then went to get mom a really big Diet Coke! The trouble kids fell right asleep!
With her project, on the way to the bus the next morning!
