What a Character!

Macey sticks her bottom lip out ALL the time. I think she has just figured out it is there! She licks her lips after she is done eating...she is a Bagley...got to eat while the food is there!

Macey clicks her tongue. She will never do it on demand, so you have to catch her off guard! She usually clicks her tongue when she eats or drinks.

Macey now gives kisses! (They are mostly opened mouthed, so they are wet...and a little gross :) ) It's my favorite thing she does right now. She is such a loving little girl!!

Anyone ready for summer?! I found Macey's sunglasses and sun hat while I was cleaning out her closet. They fit perfectly! Now all we need is sunshine :) (Poor Macey...she was pretty upset when I took them off!)

Bananas

I love trying foods with Macey (although...I may be the only person loving it at times)! She is a good sport. She will eat anything I give her. Her newest love? BANANAS!! We have an awesome mesh container. I put a 1/4th of a banana in it, and she sucks it until it's gone (sorry for the visual picture :) ). It turns pretty nappy in the process (the mesh and everything within arms length of her), but every suck is followed by, "Mmm..." Macey LOVES bananas!

Pacifiers and Sleeping

WE DID IT!!! We are pacifier free! I knew before Macey was born that I didn't want to use pacifiers on her. I had read several studies on how they can eventually mess up a baby's teeth/bite, and there is also a correlation between pacifiers and speech impediments.

Well, saying you want to do something is different than doing it :) Macey was born, and with the tummy problems she had, we HAD to use a pacifier. I wanted a happy, sleeping girl, so we used it! Tummy problems faded, so we backed down to using the pacifier only when she needed it, and then only when she slept.

Macey was sick this last week...which meant she couldn't breathe out of her nose when she slept...which means no pacifier. We decided it was now or never! As of tonight, we have officially been completely pacifier free for a WEEK!! It was no walk in the park, but I am ecstatic that we are free from the pacifier!

In other news, Macey is a crazy sleeper! I have been periodically taking these pictures. She is fascinated with her crib bumper, side mirror, and everything she can get her hands on!! She plays before sleep...then collapses :) When I go to check on her, I never find her like I left her. Love this girl. SO much!

(Anyone know how long I keep the crib bumper on? It scares me that she can undo the strings and gets wrapped up in it!)

7 Months!

Today my Macey Claire is 7 months! My word, where does the time go?! She makes me so incredibly happy. We were playing together tonight, and I started laughing at her. She looks right at me and gut laughs.

Things you might want to know about Macey:
-She only rolls from her stomach to her back. She can roll the other way, but she hates her stomach...so why would she roll over? :)
-Speaking of hating her stomach...no crawling. BUT we do the "booty scoot" aka a modified crab walk!
-Macey has 2 teeth.
-Macey eats all kinds of baby food. She loves turkey, squash, and bananas, but she will eat anything you give her!
- She loves celery. A stick of celery could keep her entertained for an hour.
-She is a VERY happy baby. She is only sad when she is tired or doesn't feel well.
-She is learning to stand unsupported...watch out!

Today we went out and did a photoshoot with our favorite Wolfpack fan :) We also went and celebrated with Cold Stone ice cream (okay, Mom and Dad did more celebrating with ice cream than Macey did :) )Happy 7 months, Macey Claire. I am so incredibly glad that I get to spend every day with you!

Car Seat

Macey is big for her age, and I love it! My mom pulled out my baby stats over Christmas break, and Macey and I are neck-in-neck for our weight and height. We could easily be twins! She has quickly outgrown her infant carseat. Before we upgraded, her legs hung atleast four inches off the end of the seat. When we hooked her in the car, she had to prop her legs up on the back of the seat.

We bought her a new car seat for Christmas, and we installed it this week. Macey LOVES it! She wasn't sure what we were strapping her in to at first, but she quickly warmed up! We give her toys, but as soon as we hit the road, she stares out the window! She loves outside.

January Happenings

It has already been a crazy 2012! Poor Macey has been battling a cold since Christmas, and I have had a lingering cold as well. Last week, it got to be so bad that she was throwing up during coughing fits. I took her to the pediatrician, and she had a really red throat and an ear infection. We have been pumping her with antibiotics, putting her by a humidifier, and slowly (very slowly) her cold is going away!

I have decided, as a first time mother, having a sick baby is the ABSOLUTE worse thing I have had to experience. I mean, I even had a VERY gassy, upset newborn that wouldn't sleep...this is worse. I couldn't do anything. I can't give her medicine. I had to suck out her nose with those horrible nose bulbs. Her cheeks became red and dry. Neither of us slept with the coughing (I mean, if she threw up during a coughing fit in the middle of the night, she could choke on her throw up and die. Yes, thank you wikipedia for making me more paranoid). So Honestly, neither of us slept well for about a week :)

But phew, it's coming to an end. I would be okay if I didn't have to experience this until my next child.

Eating celery and watching Up with dad--the perfect remedy for sick girl and stressed dad! :)

Poor girl. She has to put up with such strange parents. She seems to like us, though. :)BYU-Idaho started again on January 4th. Scott is back in the grind of classes! He is well into his last semester of classes! (Here we come April 6th!!!)Getting ready to go on a walk! (See that pacifier in her mouth? We don't use those any more! Whoop whoop! We are pacifier free, but...that's another post :) )Now that she is feeling better, she wants to play with toys and be a little girl again! Here is to another year of new toys, sicknesses, adventures, and surprises :)

Christmas Videos

I taped these movies during our Christmas break. They are my favorite videos right now! I am still convinced we have the cutest daughter alive :)

We have a bouncer, but Grandma Bagley had an exersaucer! It was Macey's first time in one, and she went crazy!

Macey and her dad are like twins. She may look like me, but she has a lot of Scott's mannerisms. (That's probably why they are best friends!) Love this one too :)

Christmas at the Bagleys!

This year Christmas was wonderful! We had a nice, 13 day break! We stayed at the Bagley house the whole time because we had colds and couldn't be at the Christensen's (kind of a bummer, but we had a wonderful break!) Below is Macey, getting ready for Christmas!

Grandma and Grandpa Bagley got the cousins pajamas! Macey has become a pro at opening presents! In fact, even now, every piece of paper she finds, she rips. Sure do love the cousin pictures!

Macey and Grandpa Bagley on Christmas morning! We had to wake her up at 6:00 on Christmas morning. (If she didn't the cousins would have started with out her!) I'm sure she'll be the exact same way next year.

Macey is a space heater. (I think I've mentioned it before.) It's totally true. The poor girl was sweating her in her fleece pajamas as she opened presents, so we helped her out!

Macey playing with the toy Grandpa Bagley got for her:

Macey and Ben playing with Christmas toys:

Embarrassing moment of the trip: We went to open presents at the Christensen's on Christmas day. I totally checked to make sure I had diapers before we left...but it turns out we didn't bring any. Macey blew out while we were there (of course) so we had to find another option (I wasn't going to leave her in her mess). My mom used cloth diapers on my oldest sister, so we created our own cloth diaper...out of a dish towel, saftey pins, maxi pad, and plastic bag. I'll let your imagination paint that picture :) We got her in a real diaper as soon as we could, but we had to document the occasion!

Macey has found her toes...and she loves to bring them to her mouth (much to her mom's dismay :) )!

Macey LOVED Grandma's exesaucer! She went crazy on it every chance she got! I have a video of her I'll have to post later :)

The Moroni Stake had a goal for the year 2011: Index 1 million names as a stake in 2011. Scott's dad, Lynn, is in the Stake Presidency, and so he got to head the project up! The last week of December, everyone was on a computer 24/7! They made it to a million on January 1st--wahoo for meeting goals! Macey even helped :)

Macey made a new friend down in Moroni--Uncle Jake! They were best buds. (He even had to endure being stuck in the back seat when Macey threw up this weekend--TRUE initiation!)

Uncle Jake gave Macey his hat when he walked in the door! Work it, work it!
