Memorial Day!

My Memorial Day was a little different than most people's memorial days. When I get pregnant, I really think I start to nest as soon as the second trimester begins. You can ask Scott. I come up with all these great ideas to remodel or redo things around our house. And, poor Scott, I have been pregnant the majority of our married life! So, this means, he gets to help participate in my nesting :)

About 2 months ago, I told Scott that I wanted to paint the kids' bedroom and toy room. He did what any supportive husband would do: he laughed. But being Scott is also incredibly supportive, he soon jumped into the next question: "What color?"

I went to Home Depot and explored color options. I decided the kids' room should be a shade of green and the toy room yellow. A few weeks later, I got the feeling that I should jump on Home Depot's website, and they were having a mid-year Black Friday sale! Amazingly enough, they had paint marked half off--only in shades of green and yellow! It was free shipping, so a week later, my paint was mixed and on my front door step.

Now, the hard part: painting with kids' at home. I attempted one day, and I found a two year old covered in white paint, claiming she was helping mom. Miraculously, her clothes came clean, after much love and care, and Scott and I planned a paint day.

I really wanted to be in charge of this project, so while Scott volunteered to paint while I spent the day with the kids, I took over the project. Lisa had fun. Scott had fun. Win, win!

Before we moved in, the previous owners painted all the walls the same color. I haven't touched the kids' room in two years, so we (thankfully) said good-bye to the last of Macey's wall murals:

Six hours and two coats of paint later, the room was done! (Well, I still need to paint the upper trim white...I ran out of painters tape!) Here is the room! The walls need to be decorated and Jemma's crib needs to be set up, but we are on the way there!

By the time we were finished, we were all ready for snocones! There is a new snocone shack in front of Andy's Market, so we had to go try it out! It was REALLY good, and we have since been back for more :)

Lunch Time!

This past week, we were all gut laughing so hard at lunch time, that I decided to grab my camera.

Cooper is the typical second child who does things because he knows they bother someone. He isn't doing it to be mean...most the time to be funny. (At least, he laughs at himself a lot!) The thing that bothered mom at lunch? Shaking their heads and grinding their teeth. They are sure cute, though!

Scandinavian Festival/Bagley Family Visit

We love this time of year in the Bagley household! I am 1/2 danish, and I think Scott loves that more than I do! There is a Scandinavian Festival held in Ephraim every year, and there is a booth that has THE best meatballs/meatloaf dinner. We look forward to this every year!

We parked our van at the Stake Center and we got the kids ready to go! Macey did not want to be held or ride in anything--she was going to walk. Hence, the strained look on her face, when she rode Scott's shoulders :)

Eating our lunch! The meatball/meatloaf dinner is quite expensive, so the kids got hot dogs and chips...they were happy and didn't know the difference!

Has everyone seen the Jamberry nail craze on Facebook? Macey was super excited that they were giving out free nail samples. She sat right down and let the lady put them on. We were told the nail would last about 2 weeks. In 5 minutes, it was off. Glad we didn't buy any :)

Cute kids!

I wanted to run in to the Ephraim Co-op to look through crafty things. We knew, at this point in the day, the kids would not do well in a shop with breakables, so we got snow cones. Scott and the kids sat out on the lawn, and they let me shop.

I bought Cooper a red snow cone. Red. I definitely did not think that through! Red was everywhere. Scott ran out of baby wipes trying to clean it up. Thankfully, I got it washed out of everything! One thing is for sure, Macey officially has a snow cone fetish!

We left after the snow cone mess to load up into the car. I needed a Sip It, and everyone else was okay with tagging along...they may have gotten drinks too! :) Cooper didn't make it to Sip It (His poor little, dyed red face!)

We stopped by Grandpa and Grandma Bagley's to spend time with the family! Macey and Cooper enjoyed playing with their cousins!

Neither of the kids made it home! They were so exhausted from the day, that they collapsed in the van!

Missionary Monday!

A couple random pictures to begin! Aunt Holly's birthday was this last Tuesday. We made cupcakes in celebration. Macey was very happy and willing to eat as many cupcakes as we would allow. :)

Our kids are on a Baby Jemma craze! We have 3 baby dolls that are in constant rotation around our house. The other day at lunch Cooper was going crazy, until he could hold his Baby Jemma while he ate lunch...funny boy!

For Family Home Evening last Monday, we had a lesson about missionaries! We got to talk about Uncle Jake who is serving his mission in Africa, watch a video at lds.org about missionaries and we got to color our own missionary tags. Macey and Cooper loved it. Cooper insisted on wearing both the missionary tags the next day, for most of the day!

Seminary Graduation

Scott asked me to bring my camera to Seminary Graduation last week. I charged the battery on it, and I cleared the memory card, so there was space for plenty of pictures. The one thing I didn't count on? Having two little kids to chase around, hopped up on ice cream, at 8:30 at night. Sadly, pictures didn't happen, but I did get this picture of the kids! They actually sat still, side-by-side, for 5 minutes to eat ice cream! Here is proof that we were there!

It's hard to believe that this school year has come to an end! Currently, we are enjoying the beginnings of summer.

Scott has officially finished his full second year of teaching seminary! We still love it here in Monroe, and we feel more and more at home everyday. Neither of us can imagine leaving here! Scott has learned much and his love for the students has grown even more!

The first two years of the seminary teaching program require Scott to be an apprentice. He has a mentor, and he has attended many meetings to prepare him to be a full-time teacher (for The Church to trust him to teach on his own). It was a great program, and Scott has grown immensely because of it. Scott told me the other day that the major thing the program has taught him is to ask questions and communicate with other teachers. He told me that the program is over, but it will never really be over! It has just trained him how to be a more efficient, knowledgeable and loving teacher. One of the best parts of this apprenticeship program ending is a pay raise (how could someone ever complain about that?!).

Now, on to summer vacation!!

I am finally pulling together all of our family videos from 2012 and making one giant home movie! I am sure I posted these videos at some point, but I rewatched them yesterday. A few of them made me smile and laugh out loud, and I thought it would be fun to post them again!

Sunny Saturday!

Macey loves taking pictures, and she is actually pretty good! Scott has an old camera from his mission that we let Macey take around. It has been beaten up, in it's time, so we figured there isn't too much more damage she can do to it!

Last Saturday, it was really warm. We worked out in the yard for a little bit, but it got to be so warm, that we took a break for lunch! Scott grilled some hot dogs and we had a picnic at our picnic table (our awesome Costco find of last year!). The kids played in the pool afterward...it was perfect! Such a fun way to spend the day!
