Fall Leaves!

Last Saturday we decided to rake all the leaves for the kids to enjoy! Our neighbor, Forrest came to join in the fun, too! The kids had a blast!

The Pumpkin Patch!

We love Hansen's Pumpkin Patch in Elsinore! They are so reasonably priced for the experience that you get! We got to ride on bales of hay to the pumpkin patch and back and get 7 pumpkins for $25--not too bad, in my opinion! The kids had a blast, too.

We were all wandering around, finding pumpkins, when I realized that Quinn was gone. I quickly found him standing in the middle of a field, not moving. I walked over to discover he had lost a shoe somewhere in that field. Scott and I looked for a couple minutes, but we could not find his other shoe! We finally called it quits, and Scott carried Quinn the rest of the time.

Scott told all the kids on the way in that they could only bring home a pumpkin that they could carry themselves. I think Cooper has got this one taken care of. :)

Jemma just wanted a tiny pumpkin. Someone found one for her, and she was fine. She spent the rest of the time trying to catch lady bugs. Of course.

Our family and a young married couple were the only ones on the hayride. They could see we had our hands full, and they offered to take a family picture for us. So glad they offered...not too bad, if you ask me! Love this family of ours!

October Memories!

The evolution of Cooper writing his name has been a fun one to watch! For a long time, he would write his name legibly...just completely backwards, like this!

The sad, sad day that Cooper's Halloween costume (Ant Man) came before Quinn's costume!

Macey wrote a story in the middle of General Conference. I think she had listened to too many conference talks at this point because her story about lambs and wolves ended with "Keep the Commandments.".

Quinn is a whole bucket of crazy and energy!! He is one funny kid and shy around most people...but he is SO BUSY!

They had been learning about dinosaurs at preschool, and they were supposed to bring something started with the letter "D". He brought his dinosaur, wore his dinosaur shirt and did a dinosaur craft.

Sometimes, we just want to be wrapped up in all our blankets, and mom unwraps us!

Coop is always willing to help out his little sister. Before anyone can touch her or help her in the car, they have to put on hand sanitizer. Right after preschool, Cooper came into the van to find a screaming Lucy. He put on the hand sanitizer and then he said, "Oh, I made a HUGE mistake!" Me, freaking out while I am driving, frantically turned around and asked what was wrong. With wide eyes, he told me that he had put on "WAY too much 'hanitizer'". He put on so much that it was on him, his seat belt, his jacket and now he would have to wipe his hands on his pants! I think we can handle that one. :)

On the rare occasion, Cooper will actually take naps. He usually sleeps with his hands in the air or behind his head. Cute kid!

Dad had to go to a church meeting, which meant mom got to put all 5 kids to sleep on her own. Yay! I had a hard time settling down Lucy which meant a later bedtime for everyone else. So, why not take a Bagley group shot?!

I took this selfie one day while waiting for Jemma to come out of preschool. I even went home and wrote everything that went wrong on this day! I had gotten a grand total of 3 hours of sleep, and the only caffeine to my name was a watered down, warm Diet Dr. Pepper from the night before. I literally grabbed it off the kitchen counter on the way out the door to preschool! I'm not even sure I got any caffeine out of it! I had just caught 2 of my kiddos coloring on the wall. Two kids were screaming behind me when I took this. And that is, seriously, only a tiny bit of what went wrong that day. It was absolute chaos!

I was going to text Scott and complain about my day when I got home, but when I pulled in the driveway, a man from our old ward was picking up sticks and tree branches in our yard. (We have Chinese Elms that shed branches terribly in our yard!) He had a trailer load full of them. I ran out and asked what he was doing. He told me that he and his wife drove by and saw them, and he knew he could haul them away. I was shocked. I thanked him, but I don't think I thanked him enough! I walked away remembering how much good is in my life--along with all the crazy. How could I complain when there was so much good?

Aunt Amy came down to visit the next day! We love our Aunt Amy, and she always spoils us when she comes! She brought Mom (me) so many treats including lunch and dinner for our family. She brought down ice cream sandwiches that the kids made into monsters!

One of Quinn's favorite places to be is the kitchen table...and it drives me a little crazy! I pull him off, and pull him off, and pull him off! I can't even begin to count the number of times he has fallen off before I can get to him! Poor kid. One hard morning, I just couldn't pull him off one more time...so he hung out with me while I ate breakfast.

I get the best morning smiles from little Lucy. That first unwrapping and stretch are the best!

Quinn is starting to get sucked into the superhero ways of his brother and dad! He knows what several of the superheroes say. In this picture, he saw Captain America on the TV, and he is throwing his shield in the picture.

Lucy is ready for church! (Thanks Uncle Tom and Aunt Julie, for the sweater!)

We have a toy room/sewing room/future Lucy's room. The kids can destroy it faster than any other room in the house. How do you get 4 kids, under the age of 6 to want to spend some time cleaning and organizing?? You hide all the change from your wallet around the room...whatever they find, they keep!

Jemma's Halloween costume came in the mail and we tried it on...she was a little excited! 

I had to do an overhaul on girls clothing--put away shorts and pull out winter clothes. This little girl was my helper through it all!

Quinn's costume is here! He wasn't too sure about his mask, though!

Cuddles and sleeps with Dad are the best!

This Jemma and her friend Dudley. He lives up the street from us, but they are in the same preschool class. They wore the same colors this day, and we had to take a picture. Jemma loves her friend "Dud-wee".

On a particularly hard day, Jemma disappeared. She is usually pretty needy during the day, so to have an hour of silence is uncalled for! I had been dealing with a fussy baby all morning and a clingy Quinn too. Both Jemma and Quinn had peed in their beds the night before and I had to deal with all of that--new bedding, laundry, baths, etc.

I finally got beds taken care of, Lucy fed and asleep and I went downstairs to put Quinn down for a nap. I was going to put Quinn down and compliment Jemma on how quiet she was. (She had been gone for a good, solid hour!) I got to Quinn's room without seeing Jemma and the door was locked. I put down a screaming Quinn and found a key to unlock the door...only to find this! Poor Jemma had locked herself in the boys' room, curled up, and fallen asleep. I put down a tired Quinn and brought a tired Jemma to her bed.

I brought Lucy out to play on her boppy pillow. I unwrapped her and was secretly expecting some great smiles for mom, but Lucy only had eyes for her big brother. She watched him for a long time before Quinn noticed her! Once he did, he scooted right over to talk to her!
