Custer State Park--Days 7 and 8!

Our second to last day of vacation was the 4th of July! The town of Custer had a 4th of July parade, so we drove over to be a part of the parade!

We were able to sign up for an archery time at the Peter Norbeck Education Center. Macey hung back with me, Harper, Owen and Charlie. Everyone else learned how to shoot a bow!

We saw Mountain Goats off to the side of the road on the way back up to the cabins!

Spending the afternoon at the lake one more time was on everyone's to-do list!

Also beauty day at the cabins! We had face masks for everyone!

The boys also wanted to sneak in a final fishing venture! Cooper caught a brook trout, so they brought it back, added some kinder seasoning and cooked it over the fire! Everyone got to sample it! It was pretty good!!

Our last night there we were met with thunderstorms while cooking s'mores! We had to eat our treats in our cabins!

We were up early the next morning to head home! We were prepped for another long day of driving! (It was a 12+ hour drive back to our home!)
