It has been so hard for us to take pictures of Macey and Cooper together, and the other day, they finally cooperated with us! We are going to try for better pictures in the near future, but here are the kiddos! Macey is 2, and Cooper is 5.5 months.

Sleeping Habits
Cooper has started sleeping on his tummy, and it's one of my favorite things ever! No matter how many times I lay him on his back, he rolls to his tummy. I sure love Cooper!
My kids have too much energy to sleep. It's the truth. Cooper is following right in Macey's footsteps! For every nap and bedtime, Macey has to talk, sing, play, or scream herself to sleep. From a young age, I couldn't even rock her to sleep. She wanted to do her own thing.
The other night we were coming home late at night. (It was 10, and Macey's bedtime is at 7!) Macey typically refuses to sleep in the car. It wasn't until ten rolled around, and we were 10 minutes from home, that we realized how much she fights sleep. I turned around to see Macey, head down, eyes closed, doing the actions to "Wheels on the Bus". I gently said her name, and told her she could just go to sleep. She shot awake, and insisted we sing "Wheels on the Bus" until we hit our driveway in Monroe. Crazy girl!
One eventful nap time, Macey emerged from her room, after her nap, like this:
A couple days later, Macey emerged one morning, like this: completely naked! I was totally not expecting her to be naked, so when I helped to open her bedroom door in the morning, I just stared, with my mouth open, as she ran out and around the room. When it finally connected what was happening, I laughed and ran to find my camera!
The best part was Scott left about 15 minutes before this for work. When she heard him at his car, she threw the blinds back and screamed "dad!". They had an entire conversation, and then he headed to work. He thought she just didn't have her pajama top on. When I sent him a picture on my phone 15 minutes later, he was positive she had been naked for their entire conversation! Silly girl!

All Star Weekend
Jake was invited to play on the 3A State Football Team. He played a couple Saturdays ago at Alta High School. It was a LONG 3 hour drive for poor Macey in the car, but she and Cooper played and took naps.
We stopped at Harmons to pick up snacks for the game. We then headed off to Alta High School to get a good seat!
Grandma Bagley got a few things for the grand kids to do. One of the things was a bag full of animals. Anyone who knows Macey, knows she loves animals! She will readily make any animal sound, when prompted.
Grandma also brought this doodle pad. Remember these? :)
And...we colored in our glitter princess coloring book!
Oh wait, we are at a football game? :) Here are a couple pictures of the game.
If you want to see really good pictures, you'll have to ask Scott. He took some on the sideline (before he was kicked off) and then from the stands!
Cooper attacked his dad. He is getting to be so active and happy!
We went back to the Bagley house that night, and Macey got more birthday gifts the next day!
That night, we made Grandpa Bagley cake for Father's Day. The best part about cake is licking the frosting bowl!

Sandbox
For Macey's 2nd birthday, Grandpa Christensen built her a sandbox. We found some cheap sand toys to play with, and Macey is in love! She could be entertained for hours! In fact, she was able to entertain herself and Cooper while Scott and I put together our new picnic table!
After playing for a couple hours, Macey was so dirty! There was sand everywhere! We took her right in for a bath. She didn't have a nap that day, so after her bath, she collapsed on Scott and watched a movie. Thanks for the sandbox, Grandpa Christensen! We definitely have a fan!

Macey is 2!
I can hardly believe that Macey is two. She has gotten too big, too quickly! She has grown so much over the last year. She has SO much energy, is incredibly sweet, loves her brother, and is always willing to help mom out! I am so glad she is a part of our family!
Scott took the day off of work to celebrate, so we dedicated the whole day to Macey! She woke up early that morning to open presents, and then we celebrated with chocolate chip, Mickey Mouse pancakes!
Macey loves her new brush. She especially loves to brush Cooper's hair. What a good brother!
Grandma Christensen got Macey a puddle jumper for her birthday! She walked around with it on for about an hour!
After breakfast, we went to the arcade to play games. Macey loved playing basketball and skee ball. She was really good at them too!
Scott and I will both tell you that the bowling alley in Richfield has THE best pizza. Hands down. We ate pizza there for lunch!
After pizza, we got ice cream cones from McDonalds, and then we went to Richfield Pool to swim! On Fridays, it's only $1.00 to swim, and if you are under 3 years old, you are free! Macey loves the water, and we got to try out her new puddle jumper!
Macey didn't last very long in the pool. She really needed a nap, and when I wouldn't let her go swim with the big kids, she had a meltdown. Scott got this picture right before we left the pool! It captures our pool experience perfectly! Macey is beginning a meltdown, and Cooper just laid with his head on the float the entire time! (He was tired too!)
We went home and had naps. When the kids woke up it was dinner time and cake time! I made Macey's cake from a tutorial from Pinterest. I thought it turned out really well!
Someone kept sneaking the m & ms off the cake!
This was Macey's face when I took the cake away to cut it. She wasn't very happy!
