Scott and I have been a little sleep deprived this summer. Plus, with all our end of June/beginning of July travelings, we were all lacking sleep! Our little kiddos bounced back pretty well. They are total morning people, and one morning, Scott and I slept through them waking up. We woke up to find the house torn apart and the two youngest running around the house (I'm still not sure how Quinn got out of his crib...) naked. We spent all morning trying to figure out what had happened! I was going through the pictures on my phone, a few days later, and I found this gem that was accidentally taken! I guess we know that Jemma and Quinn played in his crib buck naked!
Grandpa Bagley and Quinn reading together!
Aunt Holly and Cooper!
The sleeping duo!
Quinn loves to push all the buttons on our dishwasher! It's an electric dishwasher, and he loves the beeping and lights! He gets REALLY upset if you try to pull him away from it, but it drives mom a little crazy.
Quinn also loves phones. If he finds either Scott or my phone laying around, he will grab it and take off running! He has to be fast or mom and dad will catch him and take it away!
Say hello to our movie star!! Jemma loves to dress herself--including accessories: headbands, sunglasses and jewelry!
We have been going back and forth on naps for Jemma. She is now 3, and she still needs naps. If she takes a nap, though, she will only sleep for 45 minutes to an hour, and she will will wake up screaming. It will take her a solid 30 minutes to not be upset anymore. It became too much work to make it happen. So she now fights through nap time and falls right to sleep at night time.
One of the last few times she napped, she napped in our bed. I came in to find that she had found a sharpie, colored a toy and herself, and also found a box of nerds--which was half empty when I found her. Crazy girl!
Quinn is such a sweet 4th child. He hardly EVER complains! On this Saturday, Scott and I attempted grocery shopping together. With all hands on deck, we can usually all shop together. This day was just a complete disaster--no one wanted to listen or obey. That meant Scott left the store with 2 children over his shoulder screaming--the other two in tow, and Mom finished shopping.
He went right to the car, strapped in Quinn, and without complaint, he fell right to sleep!
We did the splash pad and otter pops one day!
A kiss for a fruit snack! He knows the way to his mom's heart!
Besides Quinn, Macey is the worst about sneaking off with one of our phones! She loves to take selfies. I'm not sure how she learned to make all these faces.
Jemma did a craft project one day, and she insisted on keeping the rest of the stickers for stick-on earrings! She proudly wore earrings around the house for several days!
We are slowly getting things ready for our new baby sister! I always feel behind at this point. With Macey, I had a hoarder's closet for almost my entire pregnancy, but now, we have most of the things we need--I just need to pull them all out of storage.
Lucy will make her debut and eventually move into our 3rd bedroom downstairs--which is now the toy room. One day, I told the kids I wanted to start getting Lucy's room ready. I have never seen a group of kids more willing to clean!! They cleaned without complaint and then all of them insisted on helping hang up Lucy clothes. It warmed my mom heart! They are all SO excited for baby Lucy to join the crew!
The kids love this little trampoline and they always jump on it outside. Macey suggested last week that maybe Santa would bring them a big one for Christmas! (Oh boy...I don't think our yard or this mom is ready for that yet!)
Scott went to Youth Conference with the youth. They spent the day at Snow College in Ephraim--from like 7 AM to 9:30 PM. Mom tried to make things fun and do different things. One of them included taking a bath in her huge bath tub! The kids all loved it! We have been quickly bathing all 4 kids at once in a regular size tub...and it's a tight fit! Mom's bath tub was a dream!!
Dinner time!
Sunday naps. I love it when Jemma falls asleep on me...I think I would love it if any kid fell asleep on me, but, these days, she is the only one that does it willingly! :)
Outside time! This playground has been one of the best things for our toys! I am so glad that we have it!
Quinn LOVES Moana!!! This statement needs about 10 more exclamation marks. If the TV is on, he goes around asking for "Boana!". If it is on the TV, he will sit SO still and just watch. He will sit by himself, he will cuddle--I'm convinced he doesn't care what's going on around him! He can ignore it all for Moana. If a song from Moana is on, he dances around like crazy. I have never had a kid love a movie like this before! (And I don't know why he likes it so much!)
Quinn is getting his molars in right now! It has been a long process, and it has been a hard one for him. On one hard day, Tylenol just was not helping! He wanted to be held constantly, so I sat down and turned on Moana. He sat like this on my legs for a solid 20 minutes. It was pretty dang cute!
Baby Lucy! We have gotten more ultrasounds this time around, and ultrasounds are always fun! These pictures are from our ultrasound at 32 weeks! She has hair already...which is fun to think about! We learned this last week that her Marginal Cord Insertion, which was supposed to stay the same and not get worse...has gotten worse. That means we have another ultrasound with the specialist in a little over a week. Hopefully, that will mean some more answers about how Lucy is doing and her entry into this world!
Scott and I try to be good about getting to the temple once a month. With 4 small kids that can sometimes be hard to do! I have such great in-laws who are willing to watch our kids every time we want to go! We have been trying to squeeze in any chance we can go to the temple before Lucy comes and newborn life gets us preoccupied for a bit!
One way we have found that we can squeeze in trips is to take our whole family up to temple, and Scott and I take turns doing initiatories. Scott goes first, and the kids and I run to Wal-Mart in Ephraim. We get a treat to share with dad, and then we head back to the temple. Scott and I switch off, and while I go in, he takes the kids to the park by the temple and they eat the treat we bought. The kids love it, and it has been great to teach them about the temple and why mom and dad go!
As you can guess, the experience can't be all sunshine and roses. This last time, I walked out of the temple to hear a little kid scream. I looked down the hill and across the street at the park, and I saw Scott chase down Macey, throw her over his shoulder, while she is screaming, and bring her to the van. (For being the oldest, sometimes, Macey is a our biggest struggle. She doesn't like being told what to do, and she isn't always the biggest team player. She didn't want to leave the park. All the younger kids ran to the car and she ran the opposite direction. No bribe will bring her in--even when we try. She is so stubborn that she has made up her mind she isn't coming easily.) Poor Scott. And poor Macey...I know she wanted to play and pick flowers (dandelions). So I walked to the bench, took a picture, and waited for the van to pull up with a screaming girl inside.

The van pulled up with one sleeping girl inside and one screaming girl inside. :) But the temple was wonderful, and the whole experience was worth it!
